Collection of Zeal Haiku, April 29, 2012

Her élan crushes
awestruck I stand and gaze
playful muse.

(This one is for lovely playful muse, thank you Pattiken for this. The most beautiful girl I know, this one goes out for you.)

Love blossoms
as you embrace each other
eternal bond prevails.
(This is composed for my granny, we fondly call her nanno. Today is her wedding anniversary.)

I stand tall
her compassionate heart
hugs my wrongs.

She inspires
my core transforms for good
I stand tall.

(This set is very close to my heart. This one is for you.)

Any Topic Haiku, April 29, 2012

Fly sit on the head
As I wonder what to pen
Any topic not cool.

Then she comes
And occupy my thoughts
Any topic.

Her mere thoughts
Makes the day and haiku
Little cutesy.

I begin to wonder
Her presence in my haiku
She, inevitable.

Any topic
Becomes oh so cool
I have she.

Clarity Haiku, April 28, 2012

I sit and wipe them
The glasses, for a clear vision
And what about the heart?

Defiled world
The confused me stands
Clarity.

Temptation Haiku, April 27 2012

The wanting
It creeps in slowly
She is unaware.

The majestic black kohl
Around those eyes, as they tempt me
Will you let me drown?

Melody Haiku, April 26, 2012

The bass notes
And I know the song
George Benson.

The tune flows
As I Remember Wes
Press rewind again.

Cannibal Corpse
I continue to headbang
And demolish.

As she emerges
Heart begins to hum it
Song she adores.

Kismet Haiku, April 25, 2012

Faith, the cornerstone
Of what we call destiny
Immerse I in deep faith.

Change the unchangeable
Write the unwritten in the pages
Craft your own 'The Book'.

Hope murders
Obscurity from within
The new you.

Unfathomable fate
Faith makes clear and calms the heart
Curse of kismet dissovles.

The Waiting

We both can't see each other
And the longing exists.

Miles away from each other
But the bond exists.

Two friends, two companions
Yearn for those hope-filled words
Yearn for the walks with random talks.

The one sitting here is gazing at empty space
Hoping for just a glance of her
Hoping, she would come and utter a few words

I will be content with just a few
But just a few is a costly affair

As I continue to sit and stare
Empty spaces with maharaja on the backdrop
Meticulously cooking paneer pakoras.

Today is not one of those joyful days
I miss us and the waiting prevails.

Bliss Haiku, April 24, 2012

Gobble down
Rasgullas in one go
Blissful you.

Hand crafted rice balls
Clumsily blend with fish jhol
Blissful me and you

Butler cooks
Dinner O! so far
Blissful wait.

(Rasgulla - spongy dessert dipped in sweet syrup. If you wish to woo a bengali guy or girl, this is your secret weapon.)
(Jhol - Indian curry in bangla language)

I have used to Indian terms in my haiku... I wonder if it is ok or not.

Description: I am in Allahabad with my family for my cousin's wedding ceremony. My cousins and I are cult fans of Bengali cuisine.
The maharajas cooked the scrumptious lunch for us. For hours and hours we waited for food like hungry pigs. As soon as the food was laid we pounced and hogged. This is a tribute to the finest cuisine on planet earth (for me it is).

Mesmerize Haiku, April 23, 2012

Her blue eyes
Gazing at the flame
Mesmerized she.

Ballerinas
Her twinkling brown eyes
Mesmerized she.

Jason Mraz
Soulful new album
Mesmerized she.

Still Haiku Take 2, April 22, 2012

The blue sky
And the tranquil you
What a sight!

Still Haiku, April 22, 2012

Thoughtless state
Distorted ideas die
Still water

Still water
Pristine and clear
I long for

I long for
The state of stillness
Calm yet awake.

Serendipity Haiku, April 21 2012

Mystic, we met
forged a bond
unbreakable

Unbreakable
amidst the chaos
the bond exists

The bond exists
as we treasure
the friendship

The friendship
sheer good fortune
serendipity.

Renovation Haiku, April 20, 2012

Damage is done
will I win?
what is lost

Faith is the key
to win
what is lost

Look inside
ponder and transform
the core

Words are meaningless
as they come
only to fade

Prayer and action
to innovate
to renovate.

Honeybees Haiku April 19, 2012

The buzzing sound

alerts me

honeybees attack

honeybees attack

bite me

here and there

I beg them

leave my face

still have to walk the aisle

Still have to walk the aisle

but where is my girl?

my honeybee.

Collection of Warmth Haiku April 13, 2012

Friday the 13th
crease slides in
warm blood flows.
(This one is a tribute to Friday the 13th.)

Dialogue melts
the coldest heart
experience the warmth.

Her smile
a ten ton hammer
and this warm day, bliss.
(This one is for the most beautiful girl I know.)

The first note
you gush inside
Hammer Smashed Face.
(Dedicated to my favorite death metal band - Cannibal Corpse \m/.)

Coherent Haiku, April 12 2012

Background:

This haiku is for my friend. We meet everyday and encourage each other to give our best in whatever situation we are in. This one celebrates us, this one is for you.

Coherent Haiku April 12, 2012

Together we grow

Coherence

is the key

Possible Haiku April 11, 2012

Background:

I have practicing each day a song named I Remember Wes but somehow was not able to figure the bass parts. I practiced and practiced and practiced in order to figure how it goes. This haiku showcases the joyful pain that I feel each time I sit down to practice and play with George Benson. Enjoy.

Possible Haiku April 11, 2012

Fingers tremble

excruciating pain

Forge ahead.

Seashore Haiku version 2.0, 9th April, 2012

The waves raging up and down

As I calmly wait for my beer

Flashback and memories.

Seashore Haiku 9th April, 2012

Sandcastles and young adults

They build their love nest

The wave comes gently to destroy.

Fresh Air

I am sitting inside my container of ideals.
It is vacuum packed and I am gasping for breath.
Religiously giving every ounce of being to them.
You came and opened the lid.
Fresh air and your smell merged with the vacuum.
I have never felt something like this.
This feeling, you tell me was always there.
I am amazed, overwhelmed by this.
That sudden rush of air pumped itself in. Life.
